The B+W Orange 550 filter MRC nano Master 39mm is an orange O 550 filter. In black and white photography, colours are converted into different shades of grey. However, many colours have similar brightness values, which often results in low contrast and less sharp image details. By using colour filters, these tonal values can be influenced and improved.

B+W Orange 550 Filter MRC Nano Master 39mm

The stronger the colour of the filter, the greater the contrast in the image. The new black-and-white colour filters from B+W Filter give you precise control over greyscale rendering. By selectively filtering specific wavelengths, contrasts and tonal transitions are enhanced — for images with a clearer character and greater depth.

More contrast. More expression. B+W filters for black-and-white photography will be available from mid-2026 with the MASTER filter mount and feature an advanced MRC nano coating, guaranteeing maximum light transmission and easier cleaning of the filter glass.
