The Hoya 58mm X1 is a green filter mainly used for black-and-white photography and is very effective for portraits in artificial light due to its beneficial effect on red tones. However, this colour filter can also be used with colour films to produce special colour effects. To prevent effects such as ghosting and reflections, each glass surface has three layers of anti-reflection coating.
