Kase AF 150mm f/5.6 for Nikon Z
The Kase AF 150mm f/5.6 is a compact reflex lens (mirror lens) for cameras with a Nikon Z mount. Most mirror lenses only focus manually and have a much longer focal length. This 150mm combines the mirror design with autofocus. With the AF/MF switch on the lens, you quickly switch between autofocus and manual focus.
Mirror design with ring-shaped bokeh
The optical design consists of 5 lens elements in 4 groups, combined with mirrors. This keeps the lens short relative to its 150mm focal length. A reflex lens has no adjustable aperture: you always shoot at f/5.6 and control exposure with shutter speed, ISO or an ND filter. Out-of-focus highlights in the background take on the characteristic ring shape (donut bokeh) of a mirror lens. This gives portraits, city lights and backlit shots a distinctive, recognisable character.
Filters, firmware and build
On the front is a 67 millimetre magnetic filter ring, suitable for Kase's magnetic Revolution and Revolution Plus filters (filters not included). The minimum focusing distance is 1.5 metres. You update the lens firmware via the built-in USB-C port. The housing is made of aluminium alloy.
