The Laowa 10 mm Cookie lens has a 109.3 degree angle of view. This range makes the lens the widest rectilinear pancake lens in the APS-C category.

The lens' compact design is partly due to the two aspherical lens elements. Plus, the lens is composed of 12 elements divided into eight groups. In addition to the two aspherical elements, there are also four extra-low lens elements. You can counteract distortion, chromatic aberrations, flaring and ghosting effects. Thanks to its ultra-wide aspect ratio, the lens also keeps optical distortions to a minimum with horizontal and vertical lines.

The minimum focusing distance is just under 10 centimetres, ideal for macro shooting. The focus is manual and has a five-blade aperture that can realise 10-point sunbursts.
