The Laowa Arri PL 25-600mm T4.2 Ultima S35 is a professional cine and broadcast zoom built for productions where you have to switch quickly between wide and telephoto. The zoom range from 25 to 600 mm delivers a 24x zoom factor, with which you go from a wide overview to a tight telephoto crop without changing lenses. This makes the lens versatile for situations in which the decisive moment presents itself unpredictably.

The optical design consists of 27 elements in 21 groups and supports resolutions up to 8K, with sharp images throughout the entire zoom range. The Super 35 image circle is covered across the full range, so you use the lens on a variety of professional ARRI PL cinema and broadcast cameras. Thanks to the parfocal construction, focus is retained while you zoom, and because focus breathing is minimal, focus pulls look smooth without distracting changes in image size. The nine-blade iris provides a natural bokeh look at apertures from T4.2 to T22.

The lens is fully tuned to professional workflows. Cine-standard gears (0.8 mod) on the focus, iris and zoom ring make it compatible with follow focus units and lens motors, and with a focus throw of 180° you focus precisely and repeatably. The dual distance scale shows both metres and feet, and thanks to the included tripod foot with 3/8" connection you mount the 7.1 kg heavy lens stably. If you want to operate it in ENG style, you purchase the separately available Movcam servo drive.
