The Nikon HB-81 is a bayonet lens hood that shields your lens from incident light. This minimizes unwanted effects such as color cast or lens flare. This original lens hood is suitable for the Nikon AF-P 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR lens.

The Nikon HB-81 Lens Hood is specially developed for the Nikon AF-P DX 10-20mm F4.5-5.6G VR lens. It is used when the lens is used for photographing on an FX full-frame camera on the telephoto side or when in full zoom range on a DX-format camera. The lens hood and lens cap can be removed from the lens or placed on the lens as one unit, or separately.

The lens hood limits the amount of stray light and reduces light spots. A lens hood is clicked in front of the camera lens. Lens hoods are usually matt black so no unwanted reflections occur. A lens hood prevents sun rays and other light beams from falling on the lens. This would result in unwanted reflections in the photo.
