The SIGMA 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is a reinvention of a classic. With outstanding optical performance, fast and silent autofocus, and professional-grade features, this prime lens is a valuable addition for any photographer.

This 35mm lens is part of Sigma's Art line. In fact, this premium product line began in 2012 with the predecessor of this lens: the 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art. The new version has been completely redesigned for today's mirrorless cameras. It is smaller and lighter, ensuring perfect balance between camera and lens.

You can enjoy exceptional sharpness from corner to corner and at all aperture settings. Optical aberrations are kept to a minimum thanks to an advanced optical design. The lens comprises 15 elements in 11 groups, including two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, one Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) element, one 'F' Low Dispersion (FLD) element, and two aspherical elements. With 11 rounded aperture blades, the bokeh is beautifully smooth and pleasing. At f/1.4, the lens is extremely fast, yet sagittal coma flare is very well controlled wide open, preventing bright light points from spreading towards the edges of the frame. The 35mm lens also performs excellently in backlit conditions, as great attention has been paid to reducing flare and ghosting.

The autofocus system is driven by a stepping motor. It operates quickly, quietly, and responsively, as the motor drives only a lightweight element. Moving subjects are also tracked very effectively.

The lens is equipped with a range of professional features. An aperture ring allows you to adjust the aperture directly on the lens without clicks. To prevent accidental adjustments, it is fitted with a lock switch. The AFL button can be assigned to various functions (depending on the camera body) and is easy to operate with your thumb while shooting. To ensure you can shoot in all weather conditions, the lens features a dust- and splash-resistant construction, and the front element has an oil- and water-repellent coating.
