The SmallRig 5962 L-Shaped Mount Plate with AirTag Slot for Canon EOS R6 Mark III / R6 Mark II / R5 Mark II is designed to enable quick transitions between horizontal and vertical shooting, while also offering camera tracking functionality.

This mounting plate attaches to the camera via a single 1/4"-20 screw on the base and two anti-rotation positioning pins, ensuring a stable and secure mount. Built-in silicone pads protect the camera from scratches.

When shooting in portrait orientation, the included cold shoe positioning block reinforces the side plate to prevent flex and maintain optical alignment. This positioning block is compatible with optional cold shoe accessories such as microphones (SmallRig ID 3487), LED video lights (SmallRig ID 3286B), wireless transmitters, flash guns, and more, making it ideal for lightweight photo or video setups.

The side plate can be extended by up to 22.5 mm for improved cable management in vertical orientation. A cleverly designed cutout allows the rear screen to tilt up to approximately 95°.

The mounting plate provides full access to all camera controls, including the battery compartment, memory card slots, and ports, even with cables connected at an angle. The plate features multiple attachment points, including 1/4"-20 screw holes, a QD socket, a cold shoe mount, and a camera strap attachment. The slots allow you to attach accessories such as QD shoulder straps (SmallRig ID 4118), microphones (SmallRig ID 3468), and tripods (SmallRig ID 3989, 4353) for versatile shooting configurations. In addition, the base plate features an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate compatible with Arca-type tripods (SmallRig ID 4353, 4060) and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro / RS 4 Mini gimbals. A magnetic key is conveniently stored in the base for quick mounting and adjustment.
