The Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 50 mm f/2.0 VM Black Leica M mount is a standard length innovative prime lens that belongs to the APO-LANTHAR series of optically refined, apochromatic lenses. The apochromatic design ensures chromatic aberration on the axis of RGB light wavelengths forming the three primary light colours are as close to zero as possible. A series of anomalous partial dispersion and aspherical elements help to suppress virtually all aberrations for particularly high sharpness and colour fidelity. A manual focus is used, along with a high-precision helicoid, for sophisticated focus control. Plus, a 12-blade aperture forms a rounded aperture when using the larger apertures, creating pleasing circular bokeh from point light sources.
