Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.0 Sony E-mount

The Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.0 with Sony E-mount mount is a bright and slim regular-length prime lens that stands out for its speed and classic appearance. The bright maximum aperture of f/1.0 is suitable for low-light work and offers greater control over depth of field for isolating subjects using selective focus.

Manufacturing the aspherical front element is a more challenging process than producing a general aspherical lens due to the high melting point of the high refractive glass, which cannot be used in the die manufacturing method. By grinding and polishing the aspherical front element, it is possible to simplify the lens configuration while ensuring high performance even when shooting with a wide-open aperture.

The large f/1.0 aperture gives images a dreamy quality. The 12 blades create a smooth, circular appearance and sharpness is maintained throughout the focus and aperture range.

With a robust, all-metal construction and classic black finish, this lens still has a compact form factor that doesn't hide most viewfinders.
