Adox HR-50 135/36 with speed boost is based on an established emulsion widely available for technical purposes, featuring ultra-fine grain, excellent sharpness, very high resolution, and superpanchromatic sensitisation. Adox HR-50 stands for "High Resolution".

The film's speed has been boosted to ISO 50/18° using Adox's new, unique SPEED BOOST technology. The gamma value has also been reduced, making the film perfectly suitable for pictorial photography in standard developers.

In addition, Adox offers a dedicated and optimised developer for the HR-50 film: the Adox HR-DEV developer.

Adox HR-50 is particularly well suited to landscape, architectural/urban, and travel photography. Alongside its excellent resolution and sharpness, Adox HR-50 delivers extremely fine grain. Of all current black-and-white negative films on the market, only the Adox CMS 20 II has a noticeably finer grain than the HR-50.

Adox HR-50 can be used as an infrared film and responds excellently to all types of filtration (yellow, orange, red, blue, green). The new Adox \*SNAP-ON\* gelatine filters are a perfect match.
