RICOH GR IV Compact Camera
The RICOH GR IV Compact Camera is the perfect camera for snapshot photography. It is the successor to the GR III, and in this fourth model the values of the GR series have been taken even further: optimum image quality, responsiveness and portability. The RICOH GR IV combines a compact, lightweight body with high-resolution images, and the camera is packed with intuitive, fast snapshot functions. The RICOH GR IV is equipped with a range of newly developed components, including an 18.3mm f/2.8 lens. The image sensor is a 25.74 megamixel back-illuminated CMOS. This combination provides a 28mm angle of view (equivalent in the 35mm format). The RICOH GR IV also has an updated GR ENGINE 7 image processing engine. All to improve image quality while reducing body depth. The RICOH GR IV is made to take super sharp photos with high resolution and beautiful colour transitions.
The camera boots up in just 0.6 seconds, instantly ready for use. The fast driving mechanism of the lens and the fast data readout of the image sensor also ensure fast focusing and improve autofocus accuracy. In addition, the camera is very good at stabilising camera movements thanks to the specially developed, five-axis SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism. Within the exposure modes, there is also an innovation: the new Snap Distance-Priority AE (Sn) mode. This mode lets you take photos with an emphasised depth of field.
Want to start shooting videos with the RICOH GR IV, too? The camera has a new Cinema mode. Choose from a yellow or green tint to create a nostalgic atmosphere, just like in the movies of yesteryear. Besides basic parameters like Saturation, Hue, Tone, Contrast and Grain, this new mode also lets you adjust two other parameters: strength and size.
The RICOH GR IV has a newly installed DB-120 battery with longer battery life. Connectivity for this camera has also been improved. The camera has a dual communication system with Bluetooth and wireless LAN, so you can easily pair it with mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets. The new GR WORLD app makes transferring photos to your phone easier. The app also lets you remotely control the shutter of the RICOH GR IV and send your camera's location to a smart device.
