The autofocus recognises people, animals, birds, insects, cars, planes and even trains. You can quickly change subjects while the camera focuses with lightning speed and precision. The AI chip is so smart that it even recognises human and animal subjects with their backs to the camera, so you never lose sight of your subject again. The autofocus range is very wide with 769 focus points, which is a whopping 93% of the screen. You don't even have to worry about framing anymore, AI-based autoframing subject matter ensures that your subject always stays prominently in view.

For filmmakers, the A6700 combines some of the best features of the Sony Cinema series. The rotary knob on the back switches between photo and video mode in an instant. The camera lets you shoot razor-sharp videos at huge frame rates. You film in 4K at 120 fps and in Full HD at an amazing 240 fps. At all resolutions and frame rates, you can record in 10-bit 4:2:2 for brilliant colour depth. For precise control over your shots, you can use S-Cinetone and S-Log3 image profiles or apply LUTs.

The Tamron 17-70 mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Sony E APS-C is a bright zoom lens for Sony's APS-C mirrorless cameras. For APS-C cameras, this is the first interchangeable lens with 4.1x standard zoom and brightness aperture f/2.8 with a focal length of 17-70mm (25.5-105mm converted at full-frame). Thanks to the short focusing distance of 19 cm at wide angle and 39 cm at telephoto, beautiful macro pictures with impressive bokeh can be taken. Portrait, landscape or street, this lens is ideal for capturing life's best moments in detailed photos.

The 17-70 mm f/2.8 has Tamron's VC image stabiliser. This stabiliser ensures optimal sharpness when shooting hand-held, because it effectively eliminates unwanted camera movements. The optical performance of the lens is optimally exploited when using the stabiliser, making it possible to shoot even with slower shutter speeds, at dusk or indoors. Because the VC technology uses artificial intelligence, better image stabilization is ensured during filming.

The autofocus works with the silent RXD stepper motor (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive). The AF system has a sensor that constantly determines the current focus of the lens. This ensures fast and precise autofocus.
