The Urth Variable ND Filter gives you the flexibility of multiple ND values in a single filter. By rotating the outer ring, you can smoothly adjust the light reduction from 1 to 8.6 stops, corresponding to an optical density of 0.3 to 2.6. This lets you use longer shutter speeds for smooth water effects and motion blur, use wider apertures for shallow depth of field in bright light, or give your video a cinematic look. Both filter thread connections are 62mm, so you can also combine the filter with a lens hood.

The 8-layer nano coating on the glass is water-repellent, oil-repellent and dust-repellent, so you can clean the filter easily and the image always stays clear. The aluminium frame is sturdy and lightweight. Please note: at the maximum setting, an X pattern may appear in the image with wide-angle lenses, which is characteristic of variable ND filters at high light reduction.
