Audio is recorded in 32-bit, with the option to add external microphones. Your footage is always steady thanks to the 5-axis image stabilisation. The Panasonic DC-S1 Mark II E introduces a new video format called 'Cinemascope', with an aspect ratio of 2.4:1. You can use this across various frame rates without needing to crop.

With a 24.2 Megapixel CMOS full-frame sensor, you capture every detail in stunning quality. Using High Resolution mode, you can shoot photos of up to 96 Megapixels — the RAW file measures 12,000 x 8,000 pixels. Ideal for landscape photography where every last detail needs to be visible. Your photos can also be captured in 6.4K Open Gate, LUT, and Cinelike A2.

Fast and accurate autofocus

The Panasonic DC-S1 Mark II E features a blazing-fast and precise Autofocus system: 779 phase-detection points and 315 contrast-detection points, powered by AI tracking. Whether you're shooting portraits or tracking wildlife — this camera recognises people, animals, and eyes. It focuses quickly and accurately as your subject moves, so you never miss that decisive moment. The camera also features a new autofocus option, 'Urban Sports', which makes it easy to capture people breakdancing, skateboarding, and doing parkour.

The Panasonic LUMIX DMW-DMS1E is a high-quality digital shotgun microphone for LUMIX mirrorless cameras. This all-in-one microphone is designed for content creators and professionals who want maximum audio quality without complex external recorders or cables. Thanks to the direct Hot shoe connection, the microphone is powered directly and the digital audio signal is sent straight to the camera.

The DMW-DMS1E features a newly developed 10 mm large-diameter microphone array, delivering clear, directional, and natural sound. The internal floating shock mount minimises handling noise during handheld use, while the included windscreen effectively suppresses wind noise. The advanced wind noise reduction system uses float recording technology to reduce wind without compressing the original audio.

With six different directional modes, the microphone adapts to any recording situation. From cardioid and supercardioid for focused voice recording, to stereo and wide stereo for immersive ambient capture. For interviews, there is even a bidirectional mode that clearly captures both the front and rear.

The microphone supports 32-bit float recording (on compatible models), preventing distortion at high sound pressure levels of up to approximately 120 dB. In addition, the DMW-DMS1E features a backup recording function in 4-channel mode, ensuring important audio is always captured safely.

Weighing just 100 grams with a compact design, your camera setup stays light and mobile. Physical switches allow for quick operation, while the brightness of the directional indicators is adjustable for use in low-light conditions.

Compatible with LUMIX S1II, S1RII, S1IIE, S5II, and S5IIX. Firmware update required. Support for GH7 and G9II will follow via a future firmware update.
